Theodore Brakatselos - Ted brings over 20 years of his experience as a financial representative to Cosmos FM to help our listeners get an edge on financial matters. He holds an undergraduate degree in accounting from New York University, and has attended continuing education courses at the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania.

Bill Buschel - In his late 20's Bill traveled to Greece and discovered a love for the land, the people, and the culture. He is a dedicated storyteller, with a voice to match, and boasts of being the oldest producer at HPR. The rest of us just know he’s the wisest and most experienced.  Or maybe he's just the wackiest...

Eleni Daniels – A native New Yorker, Eleni began her love of radio and journalism with Cosmos FM in 1993. She is producer/talk host of the radio news journal All Things Greek, where her interviewing style and keen curiosity of diverse topics has endeared her to her listeners. As former executive director of GAEPIS, she led a successful advocacy campaign to save the ethnic voice on WNYE 91.5FM. She holds a BA from CUNY in French/Communications with graduate coursework at NYU. She is president/principal of DanielsMedia Co., providing consulting services on various arts & culture, educational and health/medical related projects. Demetris Filios - A journalist and public relations consultant, Demetris was born and raised in Athens and came to New York as a graduate student. He is also co-founder of Prom-Com Images; a radio correpondent for ERT, and a writer at the Hellenic Times. Demetris also loves the arts, swimming and playing tennis.
Athanasia Filiou – Athanasia splits her time as a teacher at Holy Trinity's Cathedral School in Manhattan and as chorale conductor of the New York Choir for traditional songs.  She was an assistant conductor for the Metropolitan Youth Choir of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese. As a producer and volunteer at Cosmos FM for over 15 years, Athanasia shares her extensive knowledge and library of Greek folk music with listeners on her Sunday program.
Stella Georgas - Stella has been an Astorian since she moved to New York from Kypseli, Athens and attended Newtown High school. She worked in Astoria Savings and Loan until she got married and had her first child.  A devoted mother of three, she works for the N.Y.C. Board of Education as a school aid and has roots from Smyrna and Kymi in Evia.
Yianni Georgas - Yianni grew up in Aigaleo, Athens with an Asia Minor and Cretan heritage. He attended night school while working Greek Shipyards at Skaramanga and graduated from Anastasiadis School of Electronics. After moving to New York, he continued electrical engineering studies at CUNY and now works in the aircraft industry in Magellan Aerospace New York. Yianni and his wife Stella are long-time volunteers and supporters of Cosmos FM.
Joanna Giannopoulos (Director of Operations) - Born in Greece, Joanna has since brought her light-filled spirit to the staff and volunteers at Cosmos FM. An experienced businesswoman and events coordinator, she has many other passions, including her two sons, cooking and Greece.
Amalia Goro - A Graduate student at Fordham University and a postgraduate student at Columbia University's journalism school, Amalia joined Cosmos FM in the Fall of 2006. Prior to Cosmos Amalia was a desk assistant/assignment editor for WCBS-TV. She enjoys reading and writing and one day wants to become a journalist, reporting on stories from around the world.
Nikolas Kambouroglou – Nikos “the walking encyclopedia” Kambouroglou is a wellspring of information and ideas that fuels the creative machine of Cosmos FM.   He has been part of the HPR family for a number of years supporting the production of various programs and occasionally honors us with his on-air presence and charm.  He works professionally in the information technology industry, but he’s also an integral part of the NYC area Greek-American community.
Maria Karamanou - A graduate of the Aristotelian University in Thessaloniki, Maria came to New York five years ago, and is a practicing residential and commercial architect.
Despina Komninou, M.D., Ph.D., C.N.S. - Dr. Komninou is a physician specialized in Nutrition (Board-Certified Nutrition Specialist) and Prevention of Chronic Diseases. She is Research Associate of the Μezitis Education and Research Institute Ltd., and Data Safety Monitoring Board Member for the Clinical Nutrition Research Unit (CNRU) at Cornell/Rockefeller Universities and Strang Cancer Prevention Center in New York. She received her Medical degree from the Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki in Greece.and she continued with postgraduate studies at New York Medical College where she received her Master of Science degree in Nutrition and Doctor of Philosophy degree (Ph.D.) in Pathology. She maintains teaching appointments at New York Medical College, Manhattanville College and Teacher’s College/Columbia University. Her publication work includes original articles, reviews and abstracts in international journals. Dr. Komninou is a member of the American Association for Cancer Research, American College of Nutrition, International Society of Nutrigenetics/Nutrigenomics and the Hellenic Medical Society of New York.
Peter Krekoukis - Peter is a Senior Vice President at the Marathon Bank of NY. He holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Pantios University (Athens), and a master's in economics from LI University (NY). He has been in banking for over 25 years and enjoys doing economic research, as well as traveling.

Athena Tsokos-Kromidas - A native of Mesta, Chios, Greece, Athena Kromidas is the principal of the William Spyropoulos Greek-American Day School of St. Nicholas, Flushing.  She holds degrees in Classical Studies and School Administration and Supervision.  All that comes together on the Cosmos airwaves as Athena Kromidas takes us on a educational literary journey.

Polys Kyriacou - Polys works as a graphic designer, poet and lyricist whose lyrics have been put to music by P. Thalassinos, G. Andreou, P. Pliatsikas, L. Pliatsikas, P. Ramantani and S. Gadedy.  As a committed community member, he has organized numerous benefit concerts, and is actively involved in Cypriot political organizations. A Political Science graduate, he holds an MA in Graphics from Pratt Institute, NY and worked as art director at PROINI.  Polys is also a GAEPIS Board Member.
Xristina S. Ladikos - Xristina S. Ladikos is one of the new voices at Cosmos FM. A passionate and dedicated lover of music since a child, she learned to play the guitar and now writes songs and composes her own music.  Xristina has released of her own CD "Reaching For The Stars."  Since then, she has fallen in love with broadcasting at Cosmos FM where she can explore another side of music through her program Musical Journey.   Thank you Cosmos FM.

Angelo Lampousis - Angelo Lampousis – Angelo received his Ph.D. in environmental geophysics from CUNY-City College & Graduate Center in February 2009. He currently splits his time between teaching as an adjunct assistant Professor at the Hunter College Department of Geography and working as an environmental engineering consultant in a private consulting firm. His bi-weekly contributions to WNYE 91.5 FM Cosmos radio include in depth coverage of the on-going technological innovation activity. Angelo focuses on how technological innovations are commercialized, and how they, eventually, affect people's lives. Angelo’s investigative reporting is accessible through his personal website and blog at www.inun.tv as well as through several New York City based media outlets.

Grigoris Maninakis - Grigoris is actively involved with contemporary and traditional Greek music and song, with CD recordings and numerous performances at University campuses, theatres, and concert halls throughout the United States, Greece, and Europe.
John Methenitis (Sportscaster) - John was born in Piraeus, Greece. He studied Business Management at St. John's University in New York and took his Master's degree from Surrey University in England. He is working in the shipping industry and in his free time he enjoys snowboarding and biking. His favorite team in Greece is Olympiakos F.C. 

Nicholas H. E. Mezitis, MD – Dr. Mezitis is Principal Investigator and President of the Mezitis Education and Research Institute Ltd., Medical Director of Clinical Consultant Services International Ltd., Senior Attending Physician at Luke’s/Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York and Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Heidelberg University in Germany. He specializes in diabetes mellitus, endocrinology and nutrition and maintains a private medical practice in Manhattan. He is a founding member of the Metropolitan Diabetes Society in New York and an executive board member of the Hellenic Medical Society of New York. He is also a member of the American Diabetes Association, the European Association for the study of Diabetes, the International Diabetes Federation, the American College of Physicians and the New York Academy of Sciences. Dr. Mezitis maintains an active international teaching schedule lecturing to health care professionals and the public on topics in metabolism and nutrition. He has also contributed original articles, reviews and book chapters to the literature in his areas of specialty.

Sylvia Papapostolou - Sylvia came to New York from Athens in 2001 to earn a second Masters degree in political science and never left.  She began her journalism career in numerous publications and electronic media (among them To Vima, Kathimerini, NET, ALTER, and Flash FM) and now works for the Greek Press Office.  Sylvia loves waking up early every Sunday just to be part of the Me Dika Mas kai Dika Sas Logia morning madness!
 
Very Rev. Eugene N. Pappas - Ecumenist, educator, missionary and social activist, Fr. Eugene currently serves as pastor at Three Hierarchs Church in Brooklyn, and as the president of the Greek Orthodox Clergy Association. He serves as chaplain to the New York Fraternal Order of Police, and as President of the New York Archdiocesan Metropolitan Clergy Syndesmos. As educator, he is the Orthodox Theological Ministry instructor at Xaverian Catholic High school and Orthodox Chairman of the Roman Catholic Ecumenical Dialogue.
   

Stratos Skoufalos – Stratos is the warm, friendly voice you first encounter when you call for Sunday morning’s programs.  His welcoming demeanor may give the impression that he’s a trained psychotherapist but Stratos actually uses his conversation techniques professionally in the shipping industry. It’s his daughter that’s the psychologist… maybe he picked up the skills from her!

 
Stelios Taketzis - Born in Constantinople, Stelios grew up in Athens and came to New York for a 6-month internship. Twenty-five years later he's still here. A shipbroker by day, he switches hats easily to become a volunteer producer/ host of our Sunday morning light news and music program, Me Dika Mas kai Dika Sas Logia. He is also on the board of directors of HPR and contributes in countless other areas at Cosmos FM.

Areti TsiolaHer roots are from Constantinople, her growing-pains were in Kastoria and she has lived in NYC over half her life.  Despite the scientific doctorate degree, answering the simple question "where are you from?” is equally perplexing to Areti as understanding particle physics or the origins of the universe.  She starts her day as a biologist but occasionally tries to change focus from science towards dance and music as a member of the folk dance group Akrites. Thanks fellow Cosmo-producers for a wonderful radio-ride.

Dr. Dean Vafiadis is a Prosthodontist , specializing in Implants and Aesthetic Dentistry received his specialty training at New York University College of Dentistry. He is currently the Director of the Full-Mouth Rehabilitation CE course at NYU.

He is an Associate Professor of Prosthodontics at NYU College of Dentistry. He is lectures nationally and abroad for NYU Continuing Education department. He has instructed over 7000 dentists with over 500 programs in the past 14 years.

Dr. Vafiadis published and lectured on Aesthetics , Computerized and Implant Dentistry. He is the founder of the New York Smile Institute in NY. It is an educational center, full service laboratory and learning facility as well as a private practice location for a multi-specialty practice for Implant an Aesthetic Dentistry.

His patient base includes many Celebrities, Sports Figures , Fortune 500 Company executives, Producers, Directors and Writers in the film industry, Executives in the Fashion world and World renown Chefs and Restaurant Owners.  He maintains his private practice at the Takashimaya Building near Rockefeller Center.

Dr. Vafiadis primary professional mission is to educate, publish and invent new technologies that will help change the dental profession and patients lives.
He is a member of the ACP, AO, AAID, ICOI, AACD and the ADA.

Ioanna Xanthopoulou (Director of Programming) - Ioanna, the "sweet voice” behind Kati Glyko was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. She holds a degree in Business and Management.  Her love for theater sent her to Athens, where she graduated from the School of Drama "IASMOS" of V. Diamantopoulos. She has performed various roles in modern repertoire and she has written and staged numerous children plays in Greece and in New York. She has appeared in a variety of Greek movies and has collaborated with all major Greek TV and Radio stations. She is currently in New York pursuing her acting aspirations, when she is not working in Cosmos FM as a program Director, producer and voice-over artist.
